Gene Gsell

Gene Gsell is an experienced professional currently serving as Executive Mentor in Residence at Duke New Ventures since September 2021. Gsell has held various advisory and leadership roles, including Board Advisor at Hearful since February 2019 and member of the Board of Directors for the NRF Foundation from June 2016 to January 2020. Prior to these positions, Gsell was VP & General Manager at SAS from September 2000 to February 2019 and served on the Board of NAM from April 2008 to September 2014. Gsell's earlier career includes VP - Wholesale at The Timberland Company from 1995 to 1999 and Vice President - Sales at Hanes between March 1988 and August 1995. Gsell holds a BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
