Director Biology at Dunad Therapeutics

Alison Davis has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 1990, they started as a Co-op student and Research Associate at GlaxoSmithKline, where they worked until 1994. Alison then pursued their graduate studies at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from 1994 to 2000. Following that, they became a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Texas A&M University from 2000 to 2001, where they focused on studying mitochondrial protein import. From 2001 to 2003, they continued their Post-Doctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley.

In 2003, Alison joined Tufts University School of Medicine as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, and later transitioned into the role of Research Associate from 2006 to 2009. During their time at Tufts, they conducted research on Yersinia bacteria and developed new methods to study their virulence proteins. Alison also took on management duties for the lab and mentored students. Alison then became a Research Assistant Professor at Tufts from 2009 to 2012, where they focused on the assembly and function of an essential virulence component of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis.

In 2012, Alison joined Blueprint Medicines as a Senior Scientist. Alison played a pivotal role in the biology efforts of several small molecule kinase inhibitor programs, resulting in the clinical candidate nominations of BLU-701 and BLU-263. Alison was later promoted to Principal Scientist. After leaving Blueprint Medicines, Alison joined Avilar Therapeutics in 2021 as an Associate Director. Alison led the program on an extracellular target degrader project and also contributed to platform characterization and expansion efforts. In 2023, Alison joined Dunad Therapeutics as a Director Biology.

Alison Davis obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Drexel University, where they studied between 1989 and 1994. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Cell Biology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 1994 to 2000.
