Dr. Kyle Christensen grew up in Elgin, IL, and joined Dundee Animal Hospital in 2020. As valedictorian of his class at Augustana College, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology before being accepted for early admission to the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. While studying for his doctorate at U of I, he served as Team Leader at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign Wildlife Medical Clinic managing a team of veterinary and undergraduate students. He also interned at both Grassland Veterinary Service in Wisconsin and South Town Animal Hospital in South Elgin.
Dr. Christensen’s goal as a veterinarian is to build strong relationships with his clients so that they can work as a team to ensure the wellbeing and maintain the health of their pets. His areas of interest include small animal care, including exotics, teeth cleaning, and oncology.
Dr. Christensen’s family have been longtime clients of Dundee Animal Hospital, and while in high school, he spent a day shadowing with our very own Dr. Larson at our Elgin hospital. In his free time, Dr. Christensen enjoys reading, running, knitting, and is a huge comic book fan.
