Vegard Stikbakke has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2013 as a Trainee at Grimstad Bible School. In 2015, they became a Mentor at ENT3R, where they held weekly 2-hour gatherings with a co-mentor and a group of around 10 students, teaching maths and sciences. Also in 2015, they began work as an Exam Grader and Teaching Assistant at the University of Oslo (UiO). At UiO, they held weekly 2-hour seminars with 1-hour of teaching and 1-hour of exercise help, and corrected mandatory exercises with programming in Scheme. In 2017, they worked as a Data Scientist at Oda and as a Summer Intern Technology at Bekk. In 2018, they worked as a Head Teaching Assistant at the University of Oslo, a Software Engineer at Superside, and a Data Scientist at Spacemaker AI. Finally, in 2019, they began work as a Software Engineer II at Cognite AS, where they designed and implemented a load balancing scheme in Go for handling up to millions of requests per minute, and conducted ~100 interviews for software engineering positions. Currently, Vegard works as a Software Engineer at Dune, where they are making crypto data accessible, and works on the Ingest team, writing, maintaining, and automating streaming ETL jobs writing hundreds of TBs of data per month.

Vegard Stikbakke obtained an IB Diploma from the International Baccalaureate in 2012. Vegard then attended the Grimstad Bible School from 2012-2013, focusing on Sports and Outdoors. Vegard was At Service at the same school from 2013-2014. Vegard then obtained a Duolingo English Fluency: Expert (Estimated) certification from Duolingo in October 2015. Vegard earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Oslo (UiO) in 2017 and a Master of Science in Statistics from the same institution in 2019.
