I started my career in London, working for PR firms and ultimately for Apple Computer UK, running their public relations. Apple took me to their US headquarters in California, where I was their corporate PR manager for a while and subsequently spearheaded the public launch for Newton technology. The product was not an unalloyed success, although it got lots of publicity including a pasting in Doonesbury within a week….
