Dave Odom

Dave Odom has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dave is the Founder, Principal, and Certified Business Exit Consultant at Strategic Financial Advisors, LLC since 2019. Their role involves leveraging their prior experience as a CPA, CFO, and CEO to assist business owners as a trusted advisor in the business financial arena. Dave is passionate about coaching business leaders to grow revenue, margin, profit, cash flow, and the value of their companies.

Prior to their current role, Dave served as the Chief Financial Officer at Dunn Lumber from 2011 to the present. Dave also held the position of Acting Chief Financial Officer at Dunn Lumber from 2011 to 2020. In addition, they served as a Board Member at CFO Resources Group starting from 2019. Dave was also a Board Member and Investor at dialtune from 2019.

Dave has extensive experience in financial management and advisory roles. Dave served as the CFO, Co-Owner, and Member of the Board of Directors at Machine Transport Inc from 1998. Dave was also a Member of the Board of Advisors at ID Integration, Inc. starting from 2019. Additionally, they served as a Member of the Board of Advisors at Highland Private Wealth Management from 2012 to 2022.

Dave's previous experiences include serving as a Senior Partner, Regional Leader, Coach, and former Executive Committee Member at B2B CFO Partners, LLC from 2009 to 2019. In this role, they provided CFO and business exit planning, strategy, M&A execution, and transition support to startup to middle market company private business owners and CEOs. Dave also provided coaching to new partners through the Integrity Coaching™ program.

Prior to B2B CFO Partners, LLC, Dave served as the CFO / Exec VP - Finance and Board Member of the Windermere Foundation at Windermere Real Estate Services Co. from 2003 to 2008. Dave provided counsel and expertise in finance, HR, tax, accounting, and business management to the closely held ownership and franchisees.

Dave began their career as the Founder and Business Consultant at Odom & Associates CPAs from 1984 to 1999. Throughout their career, Dave has gained extensive knowledge and experience in finance, accounting, business management, and leadership, making him a valuable asset in the business financial arena.

Dave Odom attended Lake Washington High School from 1972 to 1975. Dave then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Washington State University, where they studied from 1975 to 1979. After completing their degree, Dave obtained their Certified Public Accountant license from the Washington State Board of Accountancy in June 1981. Later, in January 2012, they acquired the designation of Certified Business Exit Consultant™ from the International Exit Planning Association, LLC.
