Shane Pickett

Shane Pickett has a diverse range of work experience in the field of environmental health and safety. Shane has worked as an Environmental Health and Safety Director at Dunn Roadbuilders since 2023 and previously held a similar role at Dews Foundry starting in 2016. Additionally, Shane has served as the Vice President of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) since 2021. Prior to their roles in environmental health and safety, Shane worked as a Medical Responder Instructor at Pearl River Community College from 2014 to 2016, an Emergency Medical Technician/Dive Rescue at Amphibious Medics from 2014 to 2016, and an Emergency Medical Technician at Ambulance Service from 2004 to 2016. Shane also has experience as a Safety/Damage Prevention/Public Awareness Specialist at Plains All American from 2014 to 2016 and in the Fire Service at Camp Shelby in 2014. Shane began their career in 1999 as an Assistant Fire Chief/Training Director at Petal Fire Department, where they worked until 2014.

Shane Pickett attended Jones College, where they studied Basics. Shane then went on to North Forrest High School from 1987 to 1995, focusing on Basic Skills and Developmental/Remedial Education. Shane also pursued Leadership and Management at Texas A&M University and Advance LP Gas Response at the same institution. Additionally, they obtained multiple certifications including Hazard materials technician, emergency medical technician, rope rescue, confine space emergency service instructor from the State of Mississippi.
