Francesco Sguanci has a diverse work experience in the field of analytics and statistical modeling. Francesco started their career as a Statistical Analyst at Market Dynamics, Inc in 2005. Here, they built Time Series models to forecast sales levels using differentiation techniques and developed simpler and more complex models based on data trends.
In 2006, Francesco joined HAVI Global Solutions as a Senior Forecasting Analyst. Francesco designed and coded a process in SAS to mine all marketing activity for McDonald's Japan and forecast incremental sales. Francesco also designed the infrastructure of the process to integrate with the baseline engine.
Francesco then worked as a Senior Statistician - RD at Orbitz Worldwide from 2010 to 2011. Here, they created mixed forecasting models to predict sales volume using SAS/ETS and developed econometric models for pricing optimization.
From 2011 to 2013, Francesco served as the Associate Director - Statistical Modelling Lead at Mindshare. Francesco redesigned, coded, and tested 12 statistical models for a compromised $65 million global account, resulting in client retention and additional analytical work.
Francesco joined Accenture in 2013 as a Manager of Marketing Analytics. Francesco designed in-house media-mix models using SAS to calculate campaign ROIs for Wal-Mart Stores. Francesco also performed Principal Component analysis for data validation and variable reduction/selection.
In 2014, Francesco worked at Nielsen Marketing Analytics as a Director. Francesco collected and cleaned data from multiple sources using SAS macros and created marketing mix models using Bayesian regression techniques.
Francesco then joined Anthem Marketing Solutions as a Manager - Analytics in 2014. Here, they developed complex queries and used SAS to develop churn models and consumer response models. Francesco also created optimization and forecasting tools, providing insights into cancel reasons, cost structure, and renewal rates.
In 2015, Francesco became the Director of Advanced Modeling at The NPD Group. Francesco built a proof-of-concept hedonic model using multivariate statistics and LASSO/RIDGE shrinkage methods, resulting in 10% accuracy and new client engagements.
Most recently, Francesco worked at Dunn Solutions Group as the Predictive Analytics Practice Lead from 2017 onwards. Francesco managed all aspects of the practice, developed statistical models for customer lifetime journey, and designed customized algorithms for existing clients.
Throughout their career, Francesco has showcased their expertise in statistical modeling and analytics, gained experience in various industries, and consistently delivered significant results for their clients and employers.
Francesco Sguanci holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a concentration in Quantitative MBA from Dominican University. Francesco also obtained a Master's Degree in Applied Statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Furthermore, they have obtained additional certifications including a Business Insight Bronze Certification from Delta Associates, Inc in June 2016, and a Machine Learning Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2020.
