Payas Tikotekar

Payas Tikotekar has a diverse work experience in the field of application development and consulting. Payas started their career as an Application Developer Intern at ISKCON Temple, where they worked on a desktop application using Java, Hibernate, and MySQL.

Later, Payas worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they developed a virtual dissection lab for veterinary school students, utilizing technologies such as Unity, Autodesk Maya, and JavaScript.

Payas then joined the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Graduate Assistant, contributing to the redevelopment of the UIC College of Nursing website. Payas'sresponsibilities also included technical support and website maintenance using Drupal, PHP, HTML, and CSS.

After their academic roles, Payas moved into consulting and joined Dunn Solutions Group as an Application Developer. Payas worked with various clients, including JC Taylor and Sharp Microelectronics of America. For JC Taylor, they led the full-stack development of an antique and modified auto insurance policy application. Payas also developed the JC Taylor EZ Payment application, enabling online premium payments. At Sharp Microelectronics, Payas helped build a RESTFUL website using Liferay and created a data importer for CSV files.

During their tenure at Dunn Solutions Group, Payas progressed to the role of Senior Application Developer. Payas designed solutions for clients, mentored team members, and continuously adopted new technologies.

Throughout their career, Payas showcased their expertise in deep learning-based computer vision algorithms, web application development, cloud deployment using AWS, Docker, and platform-independent solution creation.

Payas Tikotekar earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2011 to 2014.
