Emma McLeavey-Weeder

Emma McLeavey-Weeder has a diverse work experience with a focus on admissions and recruitment in the education sector. Emma has held various roles at different organizations, starting with Colby College in 2006. At Colby College, they served as Vice-Chairperson of the All College Committee on Admissions and Financial Aid, worked as a Student Representative and Admission Assistant, and also completed an internship.

In 2009, Emma joined the University of Puget Sound where they held multiple positions, including Assistant Director of Admission and Director of Multicultural Recruitment, Admission Liaison to the Men's Basketball Team, Director of Transfer Admissions, and Admission Counselor and Coordinator of Honors and Business Leadership Programs.

In 2012, Emma worked as a College Consultant at Signet Education and also served as a Financial Aid Intern at American Student Assistance.

From 2013 to 2018, Emma was employed at Dartmouth College where they held the role of Associate Director of Admissions and Coordinator of International Recruitment.

Most recently, Emma has been working at Duolingo since 2018. Emma started as a Strategic Engagement Manager and later became the Lead Strategic Engagement Executive.

Emma McLeavey-Weeder attended Kennett High School from 2000 to 2005. Emma then enrolled at Colby College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies and Anthropology from 2005 to 2009. In 2008, they briefly studied at the School for International Training, focusing on Natural Resources Management and Policy. Subsequently, Emma pursued further education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2012 to 2013, earning a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration.
