Senior Strategic Engagement Executive at Duolingo

Kirsten Sardi has a diverse work experience spanning various industries, including education, marketing, and administration. Kirsten currently holds the position of Senior Strategic Engagement Executive at Duolingo, starting in 2022.

Before joining Duolingo, Kirsten worked at The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) as the Director of Continuing Education & Non-Degree Programs from February 2018 to September 2022. In this role, they were responsible for the delivery of multiple programs across global campuses, as well as recruitment, support, and retention of learners. Kirsten also handled market analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Prior to that, from 2016 to 2018, Kirsten was self-employed as an Educational Consultant. In 2014, Kirsten served as the Director of Marketing at CorpU, an edtech startup. Kirsten led a marketing team responsible for content marketing and brand management, resulting in increased organic traffic and qualified leads.

At The George Washington University School of Business, Kirsten held several roles from 2010 to 2014. As the Associate Director of Global & Experiential Education, they established new partnerships and developed experiential education courses. As the Associate Director of Dean's Initiatives, they contributed to the development of the school's first fully online MBA program and launched an executive speaker series. Kirsten also served as a Special Assistant to the Dean, managing special projects and marketing initiatives. Additionally, Kirsten worked as a Program Assistant, where they supported faculty leading international consulting projects.

Before joining The George Washington University, Kirsten worked as a Marketing Coordinator for Event & Special Services at George Washington University from 2009 to 2010. Kirsten developed and executed marketing plans for the Mount Vernon Campus and organized major university events.

Kirsten began their career at EF Educational Tours, where they held various positions from 2005 to 2009. As the Executive Assistant to the President, they provided administrative support and organized company conferences and events. Kirsten also served as an International Orientation Manager, developing customer acquisition programs and managing staff and budgets. Additionally, Kirsten worked as a Customized Tour Consultant, designing academically focused international tours and managing client relationships.

In 2003, Kirsten worked as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant for the French Ministry of Education.
