Lisa Bromberg has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Lisa started their career as a French and Spanish teacher at Tuxedo Park School from 2006 to 2010, where they later served as the Foreign Language Chair. Following that, they worked at the University of Pennsylvania as a Ph.D. candidate from 2010 to 2016, during which they also served as a French Instructor of Record. In this role, they designed and implemented lessons, assignments, and assessments for undergraduate and graduate French courses, collaborated with other instructors to improve curricula, and provided guidance to students. Lisa then joined the University of Pittsburgh as an Assistant Director for Outreach from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Lisa is with Duolingo, starting in 2018 as a Curriculum Designer before transitioning to their current role as the Learning and Curriculum Senior Manager in January 2022.

Lisa Bromberg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Sarah Lawrence College in 2004. Lisa then attended Barnard College from 2000 to 2001, focusing on French Language and Literature. Lisa went on to pursue further education at the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in French Studies in 2011. Lisa continued their studies at the same institution and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in French Studies in 2016.
