Ryan Peters, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of research and teaching, with a focus on language studies. Their most recent role was as a Learning Scientist II at Duolingo, starting in December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Museum Researcher at Thinkery from May 2021 to September 2021.

Ryan has also held positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2020 to September 2021, and from August 2019 to August 2020 at Indiana University Bloomington. Ryan has experience as a Graduate Research Fellow at Purdue University from August 2017 to August 2019, and as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Florida State University from August 2014 to August 2017.

Following this, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2012 to 2014. Ryan then continued their education and completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University from 2014 to 2019.
