Vanessa Jameson

Vanessa Jameson has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Vanessa most recently worked at Duolingo as the Director of Engineering since March 2017, leading engineering efforts for the company's New Initiatives area. Prior to that, they founded and served as the CEO of Covey LLC from June 2014 to June 2017.

Before their time at Covey, Vanessa worked at Google, Inc as a Senior Software Engineer from July 2007 to June 2014. Prior to Google, they gained experience as a Software Engineer at General Dynamics Robotic Systems from July 2005 to June 2007. Additionally, they worked as a Navigation System Engineer at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University from August 2004 to October 2005, where they played a key role in developing the path planner for autonomous vehicles. Their work in this area was published in the Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Field and Service Robotics.

Vanessa Jameson completed their education from 2001 to 2005 at Carnegie Mellon University. During this time, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
