Walter Gaskew IV, MA, LCPC, CADC has extensive experience in the mental health field. Walter worked as a Behavioral Health Therapist at the DuPage County Health Department, where they provided services to individuals, groups, couples, or families, specializing in Substance Use Disorders, Domestic Violence, and Co-Occurring Disorders. Walter facilitated substance abuse recovery sessions, domestic violence perpetrator counseling, and conflict management trainings. Walter also diagnosed and evaluated mental health status, determined the level and type of assistance required, and collaborated with other staff and professionals. Walter Gaskew IV holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, which they obtained from Carroll University in the years 2006-2010. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree with a specialization in Forensic Psychology at Adler University from 2012 to 2014.
Walter Gaskew IV has also obtained several certifications to enhance their qualifications. In July 2019, they received their license as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Furthermore, in November 2021, they obtained the certification of Certified Alcohol & Other Drug Counselor (CAODC) from the Illinois Certification Board, Inc. Additionally, they obtained certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention from CPI in March 2021.
