Scott Austgen has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and organizations. Most recently, they served as the Vice President of Programs at DuPage Pads starting in February 2019. Prior to that, Scott worked at Cornerstone Services, INC where they held the positions of Associate Director of Behavioral Health from December 2016 to February 2019 and Coordinator of Behavioral Health Day Treatment Programs from October 2014 to December 2016. Before joining Cornerstone Services, INC, Scott worked at Renz Addiction Counseling Center as the CHIP Project Director from September 2009 to September 2014 and as a Counselor from September 2001 to September 2014. Additionally, Scott worked as an Adjunct Instructor at ITT Technical Institute from June 2001 to September 2001 and as an MSW Intern at DuPage County Psychological Services from August 2000 to May 2001. Scott's early career includes an internship as a BSW Intern at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services from August 1999 to May 2000.
Scott Austgen obtained a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from the University of St. Francis from 1998 to 2000. Scott then pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Aurora University from 2000 to 2001. Additionally, in December 2005, they acquired a Licensed Clinical Social Worker certification from the State of Illinois. In August 2023, they obtained a Financial Management Essentials Certificate from NonprofitReady.

At DuPagePads, our mission is to end homelessness in DuPage County and we believe we have the solution: housing coupled with support services and employment. Recognizing 30 years of service, DuPagePads has assisted more than 28,000 people, provided nearly 700,000 nights of shelter and over 2,000,000 meals. As the largest and only non-restrictive shelter in the community, DuPagePads is essential to those who are homeless in DuPage County, Illinois.
