Lawrence Cleaver

Lawrence (Larry) Cleaver possesses extensive experience in information management and analytics, particularly within collegiate athletics, as well as a diverse background in data engineering and IT strategy across various industries. Currently serving at Duke University since August 2015, Larry conducts gap assessments and develops strategic roadmaps for the Athletics department. As the founder and senior consultant of Athletics Data Biz, LLC, Larry specializes in consulting for collegiate athletics departments. Previous roles include vice president positions at Truist and BB&T, focusing on data engineering and enterprise information management, and director roles at Dex One Corporation and VANGUARD CELLULAR SYSTEMS. Larry's career also includes management positions at The Walt Disney Company and early experience in athletic administration and coaching. Larry holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from the SMU Cox School of Business and a BBA in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University.
