Nelson Surles

Nelson Surles is an experienced education professional with a background in data integration and accountability. Currently serving as the Director of Data Integration & Accountability at Durham Public Schools since March 2020, Surles previously held roles at Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools from January 2011 to March 2020, including Coordinator of Student Data & Research and Program Manager for Assessment & Research. Earlier experience includes positions at Wake County Public Schools from February 2007 to January 2011 as a Testing Technician and Secretary to the Senior Director.
