Durham Region Transit
Ian Carney is an experienced transit operator currently employed at Durham Region Transit since March 2017. Ian holds a computer programming diploma from DeVry Institute of Technology obtained between 1992 and 1995.

Durham Region Transit (DRT) is a integrated transit system operating in Durham Region, Ontario, Canada. DRT operates conventional transit service, running over 50 routes spanning Newcastle and Orono to the east, Orillia to the north, and University of Toronto’s Scarborough campus to the west. DRT also operates PULSE, a bus rapid transit service along the Region's main spine, Highway 2. DRT recently began its "On Demand" service in north Durham, where service runs only when requested by the customer. On Demand service connects rural residents in Brock, Uxbridge, and Scugog townships, as well as to Orillia and Lindsay. DRT also offers door-to-door transit service for persons with disabilities.
