Patrick De Laive is a Dutch businessman and entrepreneur. Patrick is the founder of TNW, a global digital brand that informs, inspires and connects people who love tech through media, events and services. Patrick is also a member of the Rotterdam Partners International Advisory Board (IAB) and a Supervisory Board Member of pr.co.
De Laive began their career in the Netherlands working in the advertising industry. In 2004, they founded TNW, which has become a leading technology media outlet and event organizer. TNW runs several high level events, incorporates a co-working label (TNW Spaces) and delivers custom innovation programs to corporates and governments via TNW Programs. In March 2019, the Financial Times acquired a majority stake in TNW.
In addition to their work with TNW, De Laive has also served on the IAB for the City of Rotterdam since its inception in 2004. The IAB advises the Municipal Executive Committee of Rotterdam on economic aspects of urban development and reflects on ideas, visions and proposals put forward by the city. In 2021, the IAB is focusing on how the transformation of the MICE industry will change future business and revenue models, as well as assessing the impact of the MICE sector on Rotterdam and identifying opportunities for the city to take advantage of.
De Laive is also an advisor to TwitterCounter and a co-founder of Fleck, a social media platform that helps brands connect with influencers.
Patrick De Laive has a Masters from Erasmus Universiteit and also studied at University of Buenos Aires.
