Currently serving as the Senior Lighting Manager at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet since January 2023, Coen has also been self-employed since 1997, managing Coen van der Hoeven Theatrical Design. Notable projects include light and set designs for productions such as "Razend! Thuis," "Ontheemd," and "Vive la France 2." Coen has collaborated with various companies, including Dommelgraaf en Cornelissen Entertainment for the Dutch tour of "A Chorus Line," and has held roles in educational institutions, teaching theatre lighting at Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten until 2016. Coen's professional journey is characterized by a dedication to enhancing theatrical experiences through innovative design.
