Dutch National Opera & Ballet
Wout van Tongeren is a seasoned dramaturg and editor currently serving at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet since November 2017. Previously, Wout held the position of dramaturg and artistic coordinator at Silbersee from August 2013 to December 2017, and was a lecturer in dramaturgy and philosophy at de Theaterschool from September 2012 to December 2014. Wout's extensive teaching experience includes positions at Fontys University of Fine and Performing Arts, where Wout lectured in theatre history and dramaturgy from September 2006 to August 2013, and at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, focusing on philosophy from August 2010 to 2013. Wout also served as a literary advisor at Teatro Punto from 2007 to July 2013 and began as a student teacher at the National School of the Arts in 2003. Wout's academic credentials include a research master's degree in Philosophy from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, a BA in Philosophy, an MA in Theatre Studies from Utrecht University, and a BA in Theatre in Education from ArtEZ University of the Arts.
