Prof. James "Jami' Evans - Muhammad

Prof. James "Jami" Evans - Muhammad has an extensive career in education and community organizing, currently serving as the Teacher/Community Organizer and Publisher at New Vision Educational Resources Inc. since January 2011, where responsibilities include directing education and operations, teaching social sciences, and engaging in public speaking and political organizing. As a Teacher Leader and Union Representative at Duval County Public Schools since August 1997, Prof. Evans has played a pivotal role in various initiatives, including AVID pre-college programs and community organizing to advocate for urban public schools. Additionally, as National Director of Education for The Ordinary People Society since June 2008, contributions include coordinating community empowerment workshops and school improvement projects. Prof. Evans holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Education from the University of New Haven, and has held numerous teaching and leadership roles throughout a distinguished career in education and civil rights advocacy.
