Shawn Ard

Shawn Ard has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Currently, they work as a Senior Backend Developer at dv01 since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Developer at Accenture Federal Services from April 2019 to October 2021. Shawn also gained experience as a Full-stack Developer Apprentice at The Difference Engine in early 2019. Before entering the tech industry, Shawn worked as a Research Associate at Northwestern University and University of Chicago Medicine from 2016 to 2018. Shawn also managed Cedars Mediterranean Kitchen LLC, where they were responsible for hiring and training staff, providing coaching and counseling, and fostering a respectful and efficient team. In addition, Shawn served as the IT Director at Penn State University CCSG from 2013 to 2015, and they gained customer service experience as a Commons Desk Employee at Penn State University from 2013 to 2015. Throughout their career, Shawn has acquired skills in software development, full-stack programming, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Node.js, Express.js, and React.

Shawn Ard obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, they also received a certification as a Solid Works Certified Associate. Later, in 2018 and 2019, Shawn pursued further education at Northwestern University and obtained a Certificate in Computer Programming.
