Neimantas Vainorius

Neimantas Vainorius has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Neimantas started their career as a Technician at the Institute of Applied Research, Vilnius University in July 2009 and then moved on to become an Engineer from September 2010 to February 2012. Neimantas then pursued higher studies and joined Lund University in an academic role. Neimantas worked as a PhD Student from an unspecified start date in 2012 until an unspecified end date in 2017, where they conducted optical characterization of semiconductors and semiconductor nanowires and also developed data analysis software. Following their PhD, Neimantas worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Lund University from July 2018 to February 2020. In this role, they focused on the optical characterization of III-V semiconductor nanostructures, maintained and upgraded optical characterization tools, and co-supervised a PhD student. Neimantas then transitioned to the industry and joined Axis Communications in March 2020 as a Production Test Engineer. Neimantas worked in this role until April 2021, where they were responsible for designing, building, and maintaining optical characterization setups, as well as programming experimental procedures. Additionally, they started working as a Product Image Engineer at Axis Communications in April 2021 and continues in this role. Most recently, Neimantas joined DVel AB in February 2020 as a Consultant specializing in Measurement and Testing.

Neimantas Vainorius has an extensive education history. Neimantas pursued a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University from 2006 to 2010. Neimantas then went on to earn a Master's degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Materials Science and Semiconductors Physics from the same university, from 2010 to 2012.

Neimantas Vainorius continued their academic journey by enrolling in The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. Neimantas completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics with a focus on Materials Science/Nanotechnology from 2012 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Neimantas Vainorius also obtained certifications in the field of data science and programming. Neimantas received a Certificate of Completion for completing the course "Machine Learning A-Z™: Hands-On Python & R In Data Science" from Udemy in July 2020. In March 2019, they also obtained a Certificate of Completion for the course "Python bootcamp: Go from zero to hero in Python 3" from the same institution.
