Marcel van der Elst

Marcel van der Elst has had a diverse work experience spanning consulting, management, and investment roles. Marcel is currently a Senior Director at DWH and the Principal/Owner of VANDERELST CONSULTING LLC, where they have focused on strategy, growth, and organizational transformations. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President for Business Development at Scrap Metal Services and as a Vice President at Kelley Management Consulting, Inc. During their tenure at Kelley, they developed and implemented operational restructuring for a North American industrial services company and a strategic account management process for an OEM in South America, among other projects. Marcel has also worked as a Strategic Program Manager and Consultant at John Deere and as a Director at Solving International USA, Inc. and in a Senior Consultant role at Investment Management & Consulting Group / Solving International. Marcel began their career as a Consultant at Robert Pino & Company and later worked as a Consultant at Arthur D. Little.

Marcel van der Elst obtained an M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management with a focus on Logistics, Marketing, and Organizational Strategy from Eindhoven University of Technology in 1997. After eight years, they pursued further education and completed a degree in Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Value-based Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 2002. Both of their degrees are in the field of Business Administration and Management, General.
