Areen Mahmood

Areen Mahmood has a diverse work experience that spans various companies and roles. They started their career in 2016 as a Student Ambassador at the College of Engineering, Swansea University. They then worked as a Process Engineering Intern at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, where they gained experience in a multi-disciplinary field and collaborated with VEOLIA consultancy. Areen later became a Residence Tutor at The College, Swansea University, where they supervised and advised students, gave talks, and organized events. In 2020, they worked as an IT Technician Traineeship at IT Career Switch and as a Business Support Analyst at Deloitte UK. Currently, Areen is working at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water as a Project Lead, where they oversee projects and also had prior experience as an Integrated Technology Services Graduate, rotating between different teams within the organization.

Areen Mahmood completed a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (MEng) from Swansea University, graduating in 2019. They have also obtained several additional certifications, including Lean Competency System Level 1b from SA Partners LLP, Agile Project Management Foundation from APMG International, PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training from AXELOS Global Best Practice, APM Associate from the Association for Project Management, Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org, and CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA. In addition, Areen obtained a Driving Licence from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in 2016.
