Gael Merlet

Gael Merlet is a seasoned professional in the field of water resources and remediation, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since November 2016. Prior experience includes roles as Operations and Maintenance Manager at NALCO Water from November 2015 to October 2016, and Project Manager at QDS Remediation from November 2012 to November 2015. Gael also worked as a freelancer with Cognition Land and Water on remediation design and project management in 2012, and as a Project Manager at CELTIC Technologies from March 2001 to February 2012, overseeing the production of tender documents and soil and groundwater remediation contracts. Earlier experience includes a role as a remediation engineer at Microclean, involvement in agrochemicals testing at Zeneca Agrochemicals Austria, and research in crop trials at LARS Bristol. Gael holds an MSc in Hydrobiology from the University of Wales, Cardiff, and a BSc in Biology and Environmental Science from Nottingham Trent University.
