Margot Mear

Margot Mear has extensive work experience in asset management. Margot currently works as the Head of Portfolio Management at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water since June 2021. Prior to that, they were the Group Technical Authority - Asset Management at Associated British Ports from January 2018 to June 2021. Margot also served as the Asset Management Portfolio Manager at Transport for London from December 2015 to December 2017. Margot held multiple roles at Heathrow, including Head of Asset Management from December 2014 to October 2015, Asset Management Capability & Assurance Manager from June 2014 to December 2014, and Asset Integrator from July 2012 to May 2014. Margot began their career at Atkins as a Graduate Engineer in September 2005 and worked their way up to become a Senior Engineer in August 2011. Margot also contributed as a Working Group Member of Sustainable Infrastructure Initiative at the Institute of Asset Management from 2005 to 2009.

Margot Mear obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Engineering, Economics, and Management from the University of Oxford, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Margot also holds additional certifications including a Diploma in Asset Management, obtained in October 2014 from the Institute of Asset Management (The IAM), and a Certificate in Asset Management, obtained in October 2013 from the same institution. Furthermore, they acquired the designation of Registered Asset Management Professional from The Institute of Asset Management in May 2021.
