Owain George has had a diverse work experience in the planning and development field. Owain started their career in 2006 as a Planner - Development Control at Vale of Glamorgan Council. From there, they joined the Infrastructure Planning Commission as a Case Manager - Offshore Wind Sector in 2010. In 2012, they became a Lead Development Control Officer at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, and later transitioned to the role of Planning Liaison Manager. Currently, Owain is serving as the Head of Development Planning at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water. Overall, they have demonstrated their expertise and growth in the field of development planning throughout their career.
Owain George completed their education in the field of City and Regional Planning. In 2004, they enrolled at Cardiff University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in City and Regional Planning in 2010. Following this, they pursued further studies at Cardiff University and achieved a Master of Science degree in Regeneration Studies from 2008 to 2010. In 2019, Owain George attended the Cranfield School of Management for the GMP Programme. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) from an unspecified date.
