Charles d'Haussy

Charles d'Haussy has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries and roles. Charles is currently serving as the CEO of dYdX Foundation since 2022. Prior to this, they held various positions at ConsenSys, including Global Head of Business Development from 2019 to 2022, Managing Director - APAC from 2021 to 2022, and Director Strategic Initiatives from 2019 to 2021. At ConsenSys, they were involved in enabling developers, enterprises, and entrepreneurs to build applications and launch financial infrastructure on Ethereum.

Before joining ConsenSys, d'Haussy worked as the Co-Author of the book "Block Kong" from 2019 to 2022, which focused on Hong Kong blockchain entrepreneurs and the ecosystem. Charles also served as an Appointed Member of the Working Group on eCNY/CBDC Implementation at the Financial Services Development Council from 2020 to 2021.

Earlier in their career, d'Haussy held the position of Head of FinTech at Invest Hong Kong from 2016 to 2019, where they served over 450 fintech companies and organized the Hong Kong Fintech Week. Charles was also part of the Fintech Steering Group at the Hong Kong Government during the same period.

Prior to that, d'Haussy worked at 8 Securities as the VP of Sales and Business Development from 2015 to 2016, focusing on building a sales team and customer success department for the company's robo-advisor platform. Charles also served as the CEO Asia Pacific at Lucibel, a company specializing in LED lighting solutions, from 2011 to 2015. Before joining Lucibel, they founded and served as the CEO of Diligent Group, a LED lighting B2B solutions company, from 2009 to 2011.

D'Haussy's early career includes their tenure as the General Manager at EverFast rechargeables Ltd, where they managed a consumer electronics manufacturing unit in China and oversaw the sales and marketing team in Hong Kong from 2005 to 2009.

Overall, d'Haussy has a wide range of experience in leadership, business development, fintech, blockchain, and LED lighting industries.

Charles d'Haussy obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business from Rennes School of Business between 1997 and 2002. In 2004 and 2005, they attended Sun Yat-sen University to study Chinese Mandarin as a language. Charles also holds several additional certifications, including a BlockChain Business Strategy certification from B9lab (obtained in November 2016), a Type 1 & Type 4 Licence in Dealing & Advising on securities from the Securities and Futures Commission (obtained in September 2015), and an HKSI Paper 1 certification in Fundamentals of Securities and Futures Regulation from the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (obtained in July 2015). Charles d'Haussy also holds a Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP) certification from the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium, although the date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
