Yasaman Forouzesh

Yasaman Forouzesh has three years of professional experience. In 2021, they began working as a Junior Back End Developer at DYL, where they build back-end APIs and databases using Go, PSQL, and Squirrel. Yasaman also maintains and extends an existing Go-based API and follows the story of each ticket through Jira, completing 1 to 3 tickets each day and engaging in stand up meetings. From 2019 to 2021, Yasaman worked as a Computer Science Tutor at Pierce College. In this role, they provided one-on-one tutoring to students in Intro to Computer Science classes, assessed their current skill level, addressed challenges, and debugged their C++ programs. Yasaman also reviewed difficult concepts, utilizing whiteboarding practice and reteaching computer science fundamentals. Finally, from 2015 to 2019, Yasaman worked as an Android Developer at AshaERP. In this role, they trained 5 managers on the new application, collaborated with a database team of 4 to connect mobile applications with the database, and continuously fixed bugs and updated the application every month, implementing ideas from customers based on survey findings.

Yasaman Forouzesh is currently attending General Assembly, where they are enrolled in a Software Engineering Immersive program, starting in 2020. Yasaman previously obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the Islamic Azad University, Science And Research Branch, graduating in 2016. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including JavaScript Essential Training from LinkedIn in July 2021, and CCNA: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation and CCNA from Cisco in August 2020.
