Sophie Colombo

Sophie Colombo has a wealth of work experience. Sophie began their career in 2004 as a Research Intern at Institut Pasteur. In 2005, they were a Research Intern at NYU Skirball Institute for Biomolecular Medicine. From 2006 to 2011, they were at Institut Curie, where they held the role of PhD Candidate and Project Leader. During this time, they developed project management, creative thinking, and communication skills, resulting in 8 publications, 1 book chapter, 2 PhD fellowships, and 1 prize for best poster at a conference. From 2011 to 2015, they were an Associate Research Scientist and Project Leader at Columbia University Medical Center. In 2016, they were a Functional Modeling Scientist Contractor at Pairnomix. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Functional Modeling Scientist and Strategy Development Consultant at Q-State Biosciences. Currently, they are an R&D Project Manager and Scientific Program Leader at Dynacure.

Sophie Colombo has a diverse educational background. Sophie obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Developmental Biology / Genetics from Université Paris Cité in 2010. Sophie then completed a M.Sc. / European Magistère in Genetics from the same university in 2006. In 2004, they earned a B.Sc. / European Magistère in Molecular genetics and physiology from Université Paris Cité. In 2002, they obtained a B.Sc. in Life and Hearth Sciences with a certificate in biology and chemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University. Additionally, Sophie has obtained a number of certifications, such as a Scientist MBA from Cheeky Scientist in 2020, Having Difficult Conversations from LinkedIn in 2020, Leading Effectively from LinkedIn in 2020, The Drug Discovery and Development Process - Mini-Course from Bridging BioScience & BioBusiness, LLC and BioPharma Dive in 2020, and Authorization for animal experimentation certification Level 1 (French) from Université Paris Descartes in 2007.
