Chris McKinney has extensive work experience in the field of church planting and mission work. From 1986 to 2010, they worked as a Missionary for the Philippine Christian Mission, where they were involved in church planting, establishing educational institutions, and teaching biblical studies. Since 2010, they have been with Dynamic Church Planting International, first serving as a Global Zone Representative and Director of the MPD Task Force. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Operations. In this role, they assist in achieving enterprise goals through strategic planning, budgeting, networking of leaders, and communication. Chris is also a master trainer for various church planting programs.
Chris McKinney has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Growth (Missions) from Hope International University, which they completed from 1980 to 1984. Chris then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Ministry at the same university from 1984 to 1986. Following this, McKinney attended Fuller Theological Seminary from 1989 to 1994, where they studied Church Growth & World Missions, but did not obtain a degree. In 1999, they enrolled in Asia Pacific Theological Seminary and completed studies in Biblical Studies until 2001, without obtaining a degree. McKinney then pursued their interest in New Testament studies at both Claremont Graduate University from 2001 to 2004 and Asia Graduate School of Theology from 2006 to 2009, at the PhD level. While they studied in these programs, it is not clear whether they obtained a PhD degree in New Testament.
