Eric Gastfriend has had an extensive work experience. In 2016, they founded and became the CEO of DynamiCare Health, a digital platform that helps people monitor and reduce the use of drugs, opioids, alcohol, and tobacco. In 2014, they were awarded a $6,000 Rock Summer Fellowship from the Rock Center at Harvard Business School to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. In 2010, they became the VP and GM of The Happy Cloud, where they managed all day-to-day aspects of the business, led a tech team of 8 programmers, and brought the product from alpha stage to public launch. In 2008, they interned at Endeavor, a non-profit that provides support and training for high-impact entrepreneurs, where they planned a three-day tour of Silicon Valley and solicited Bay Area businesses for tour sponsorship. In 2007, they interned at Intex, where they automated data collection from Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) remittance reports for mortgage/bond analytics for the structured finance industry.

Eric Gastfriend completed their Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Brown University between 2006 and 2010. In 2009, they attended Keio University, but did not receive a degree. In 2013, they earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Harvard Business School.
