Andrew Martin has had a long and varied career in the information security field. In 2005, they began their career at CIBC as an Information Security Specialist, then was promoted to Senior Information Security Analyst and Client Technology Specialist. In 2010, they moved to HSBC as Head of Information Risk Response & Intelligence. In 2012, they took a career break and traveled throughout the Americas and Europe, then relocated to London, United Kingdom. In 2014, they joined RBC as Senior Director IT Risk, Europe & Asia, and established a 2nd line of defense IT Risk function for the Investor & Treasury Services business globally and other regional businesses. In 2016, they became an Advisor for Secgate, a specialist security advisory group, and a Mentor for Cyber London and HutZero, a pre-accelerator program for aspiring cyber security entrepreneurs. In 2018, they became an Advisor for Risk Ledger, a platform that enables clients to conduct security assurance over the entirety of their supply chain. Finally, in 2016, they founded DynaRisk and created the world's first Personal Cyber Security Score and Breach Defence, an all in one cyber risk management platform for SME businesses.
Andrew Martin attended Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Computer Systems Technology (CTY) degree in Systems Administration. Andrew has also obtained various certifications, including the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2, the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) from SANS, the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) from SANS, the GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) from SANS, and the GIAC Security Expert (GSE) from SANS.
