Alex Gwaltney

Alex Gwaltney, MBA, has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Alex is currently serving as the Director of Retail Sales at Dynavax Technologies, where they have been working since June 2021. Prior to this role, they held the positions of Southeast Pharmacy Account Manager and IDN/Hospital Account Manager at the same company from August 2020 to June 2021 and from March 2018 to August 2020, respectively.

Before joining Dynavax Technologies, Alex worked at Merck starting in February 2014. During their tenure at Merck, they served as the Merck Adult Vaccines--Pharmacy Account Manager from June 2016 to March 2018 and as a Senior Customer Representative for Diabetes from February 2014 to June 2016.

Prior to Merck, Alex worked at Novel Ingredient Services as a National Key Account Manager from August 2011 to February 2014. Alex started their career at Lalilab Inc as a National Account Manager and worked there from August 2007 to August 2011.

Throughout their career, Alex Gwaltney has gained valuable experience in account management and sales in various sectors of the healthcare industry.

Alex Gwaltney, MBA, completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2007, Gwaltney earned a BA in Chemistry from North Carolina State University. Additionally, Gwaltney holds a BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which was obtained from 2000 to 2004. Gwaltney also pursued a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School between 2016 and 2018.
