Kirsten Dawes has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering and computer science fields since 2012. In 2012, they worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Oregon, where they researched cache data management on Intel's Xeon Phi in relation to the visualization program VisIt. Kirsten also worked as a Mathematics and CIS Tutor, and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Graduate Researcher- Seelab at the University of Tennessee and a Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaching basic ideas of C++ and system-level programming. During 2018, they also worked as a System Software Engineer at Collins Aerospace. In 2015, they worked as a High Energy Density Summer Undergraduate Intern at Lawrence Livermore National Resarch lab, where they contributed to a large scale scientific application and analyzed runtime performance. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Dyndrite.
Kirsten Dawes attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2016 to 2018, where they earned a Master of Science in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended the University of Oregon from 2011 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
