Jae Chew

Jae Chew has a diverse work experience spanning from 2016 to 2023. Jae recently worked at Dyne as a DS & Machine Learning Engineer starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they were a Machine Learning Researcher at Digital China from September 2022 to January 2023. Before that, they worked at CITIC Capital as a Software Engineer from May 2022 to September 2022. Jae also has experience as a Cofounder at Dydexify from January 2022 to September 2022. Jae further gained experience as a Jr. Software Engineer at The University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine mHealth Research Lab from May 2020 to September 2021. Jae also worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Undergraduate Research Opportunities - UBC from October 2019 to May 2020. Jae started their career as a Data Science Intern at Dathappy in July 2018. Prior to entering the tech industry, Jae served in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) where they held various roles such as Platoon Sergeant, Infantry Sergeant, Specialist Cadet, and Recruit from 2016 to 2017.

Jae Chew attended The University of British Columbia from 2018 to 2022, where they studied Business and Computer Science. They also attended UBC Sauder School of Business during the same period, earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Business and Computer Science. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2015, Jae Chew attended Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). In this program, they focused on HL Business, HL Physics, HL Lang&Lit, SL Economics, SL Math, and SL Chinese.
