Imran Yaqub

Imran Yaqub has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Imran started their career as a Field Service and R&D Engineer at GB Teknologies in 2003, where they were responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of induction and melting plants. Imran then joined the University of Nottingham in 2009 as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate, where they worked until 2011. During this time, they contributed to knowledge transfer projects. In 2011, Imran joined Dynex Semiconductor Ltd as a Design Engineer and worked on designing and developing pulse power systems for the nuclear fusion industry. Imran was later promoted to the role of Senior Power Systems Engineer before becoming the Principal Power Systems Engineer, a role they currently hold. In their current position, Imran is involved in the design and development of high energy pulse power systems, including high voltage capacitive discharge systems. Their work involves creating power supplies with various specifications, ranging from 500 Amps to 400,000 Amps and voltages ranging from 430 V to 20kV. Imran's expertise in power systems engineering and their extensive experience in designing and developing high-energy pulse power systems make him a valuable asset to any organization.

Imran Yaqub has a strong educational background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. From 2011 to 2015, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Nottingham. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Power Electronics and Control Systems at the University of Bradford from 2007 to 2008. In 1999, Imran obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila.
