Laurence Vaughn is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in stress analysis and noise mapping. Currently serving as the Lead Stress Engineer at Dynisma Ltd. since March 2022, Laurence specializes in the analytical aspects of motion simulator design. As a Director and co-founder of Quiet Places Ltd. since July 2019, Laurence provides environmental noise mapping services to home buyers. Prior roles include Principal Engineer at Norton Straw Consultants and Technical Manager at Frazer-Nash Consultancy, where responsibilities encompassed a wide range of projects in defense, aerospace, and energy sectors. Laurence has also held various engineering roles at Frazer-Nash since 2000, contributing to multiple significant projects, including composite impact analysis and structural integrity assessments. Laurence holds a PhD in Composites and Adhesives and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Bristol.
