Rachel Blackmore

Rachel Blackmore is a Senior Battery Materials Engineer at Dyson, a position held since June 2021, following a tenure as a Materials Engineer. Prior experience includes serving as a Scientific Researcher and PhD Student at the University of Southampton, where Rachel completed a thesis in collaboration with Johnson Matthey, developing expertise in characterization techniques such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and XRD. Additionally, Rachel has worked in various roles including Bar Staff and Grant Administrator while developing strong organizational and customer service skills. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Southampton and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol.
