Bernd Koch

Bernd Koch has extensive work experience in risk management and banking. Bernd served as Head of Market Risk Control, Chief Risk Officer, and Head of Risk Control at DZ PRIVATBANK S.A. from 2018 to present. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Vice President at DVB Bank SE from 2002 to 2018. Bernd was also the head of market risk control at HypoVereinsbank - UniCredit Bank AG from 1998 to 2002 and a Project Manager at the same company from 1997 to 1998. Bernd began their career at Deutsche Bank in 1994, working in Group Treasury until 1997. Overall, they have over 25 years of experience in risk management and banking.

Bernd Koch has an extensive education history. Bernd obtained their master's degree in Business Mathematics from Ulm University between 1984 and 1990. After that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics from Syracuse University, completing it in 1990. Following this, from 1991 to 1994, Bernd Koch attended the University of St.Gallen, where they earned a PhD in Economics. During their doctoral studies, their main field of study was in Efficient (Dynamic) Simulation in Complex Stochastic Models.
