Dexter Lau

Dexter Lau has worked in the software engineering industry since 2011. Dexter began their career as a Student Ambassador for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority from 2011 to 2014. During this time, they trained and evaluated new employees, acted as a liaison between the airport authority and passengers, and assisted with French and Cantonese translations. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Engineering Intern/Lab Assistant at the Wright Virginia Microelectronics Center, where they trained and assisted new lab users with cleanroom equipment, kept the lab environment clean and safe, and managed cleanroom safety protocols, chemicals, gas tanks, and other fabrication materials. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Software Engineering Consultant at Fortitude Systems. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer at ORBCOMM. Dexter is currently employed as a Consultant at Aerotek.

Dexter Lau attended Virginia Commonwealth University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
