Carrie Higgins has extensive experience in marketing and event coordination, currently serving as the Event & Marketing Specialist at E.B. Horsman & Son since September 2001, where responsibilities include organizing events for all 24 locations. Prior to this role, Carrie worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Albrite Wholesale Lighting Distributors from October 2013 to December 2018, focusing on graphic design, social media, and event planning, before the brand merged with E.B. Horsman & Son. Additionally, Carrie was the Past Chair of the Surrey International Writers' Conference from January 1996 to December 2013, contributing to the success of Canada's most comprehensive professional development conference for writers. Earlier career experience includes a position as a Receptionist at Joto Paper from 1998 to 2001. Carrie holds a degree from the University of the Fraser Valley and completed secondary education at Yale Secondary.
