Mari Pedak

Mari Pedak is a Team Leader at EGOV4UKRAINE and EU4DigitalUA. Mari has also served as the Director of IT and Development Centre at the Estonian Ministry of the Interior, Deputy Secretary-General for European Integration at the Estonian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Director at Tallinn Municipal Property Board.

Born in Tallinn, Estonia, Mari Pedak has always been interested in public service. Mari started their career in 1994 as a Director at Tallinn Municipal Property Board. In 1996, they became the Deputy Secretary-General for European Integration at the Estonian Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2000, they became the Director of the Estonian Citizenship and Migration Board. In 2008, they became the Director of IT and Development Centre at the Estonian Ministry of the Interior.

Mari Pedak has played a key role in developing Estonia's e-governance infrastructure. Under their leadership, 163 services in ICT field were developed and put into practice. Mari also played a key role in consolidating Estonia's IT structures from different Boards under administration of the Ministry of the interior.

Mari Pedak is a strong advocate for digital inclusion and has been working on EGOV4UKRAINE and EU4DigitalUA to promote digital transformation in Ukraine.

Mari Pedak attended Tallinn University of Technology, where they earned a master's degree in economics and management of the service sector. Mari also attended Tallinn Sports Boarding School, where they completed their high school education.

Mari Pedak reports to Hannes Astok, Executive Director. Mari Pedak works with Margareta Telliskivi - Head of Project Development, Aile Kullerkupp - Director of Finance and Administration, and Arvo Ott - Director of e-Government Technologies. Yurii Kopytin - Cybersecurity Component Leader of EU4DigitalUA, Iryna Hromova - Expert of the Vulyk System, and Mykola Samar - IT Expert on the Vulyk System report to Mari Pedak.
