Paul Timmers

Paul Timmers is the current Chairman of the Supervisory Board at e-Governance Academy. Paul has held various positions at the European Commission, including Director Digital Society, Trust and Cyber Security, DG CONNECT, and Head of Unit for e-Government and e-Inclusion. Timmers has also been a Research Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a faculty member at the Technische Universität Wien and the University of Oxford.

Paul Timmers has a PhD in Physics from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, an MBA from Warwick Business School, and is a Professor of e-commerce at United Business Institute UBI. Paul is also a cybersecurity executive and educator at Harvard Kennedy School, specializing in the intersection of policy and technology.
