Edzer Huitema

Edzer Huitema has a strong background in the technology industry, particularly in the field of displays and electronics. Edzer most recently served as the Chief Technology Officer at E Ink Corporation, a leading company in ePaper technology. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Manager Hardware Engineering at Apple.

Edzer also has experience as the Chief Technology Officer at both Polyera Corporation (now FlexTerra) and Polymer Vision. At Polyera Corporation, they collaborated with well-known manufacturers to create a flexible wearable device. While at Polymer Vision, they played a key role in the development and production of rollable displays.

In addition, Edzer worked at Solliance as the Commercial Director, where they successfully doubled the commercial revenue and secured a major client. Edzer also contributed to the advancement of organic transistors and flexible displays during their time at Philips, where they held various roles and published in top journals.

Throughout their career, Edzer has filed numerous patents and demonstrated expertise in bringing cutting-edge technology to market.

Edzer Huitema obtained a VWO degree from van Lingen College in 1988. Following this, they pursued a computer science degree at Radboud University from 1990 to 1993, although it is unclear if they graduated with a degree. Edzer then completed a Master's degree in Chemistry at Radboud University from 1988 to 1994. Finally, they obtained a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Utrecht University, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998.
