Dr. Joachim Klein has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Dr. Joachim started their career in 2008 as a Visiting Fellow at the European Commission, where they were responsible for economic analysis. In 2009, they joined TWS Partners as a Consultant, before moving on to E.ON Inhouse Consulting GmbH in 2011 as a Project Manager. Dr. Joachim worked in this role until 2016, driving change and growth within the company. From 2016 to 2018, Dr. Klein served as the Head of Customer Retention at E.ON Deutschland, where they focused on customer loyalty. Dr. Joachim then moved on to the role of VP Customer Loyalty until 2021, and subsequently became VP (Tribe Lead) Sales Standard Customers until 2022. From 2022 to 2023, they held the position of VP Sales Standard Customers + int. VP (Chapter Lead) Campaign Management. Currently, Dr. Klein serves as the VP Go-to-market New Solutions at E.ON Deutschland. In addition, they have also taken up a role as Co-Lead B2C Sales at Lechwerke AG in 2023.
Dr. Joachim Klein has a diverse education history. In 2003, they obtained an M.Sc. in Economics of the Environment, Natural Resources, Energy and Agriculture from the Toulouse School of Economics. Dr. Joachim then pursued their studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they earned a Dr. oec. in Volkswirtschaftslehre from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Diplom in Volkswirtschaftslehre at the University of Mannheim from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "web3 & NFT Masterclass" from Delta School in 2022.
