Torben Runte

Torben Runte has a diverse work experience in the energy industry, particularly with the company E.ON. Torben began their career as a Dual Student at E.ON IT, where they gained experience in project management, Java programming, SAP, and Business Intelligence. Torben then worked as an IT Consultant at E.ON Digital Technology from 2014 to 2019. Torben joined E.ON Deutschland in 2019 as a Technical Product Owner, responsible for delivering commodity product solutions in the Digital Sales Platform. Torben later became the Technical Tribe Lead Products, overseeing the IT delivery of a tribe implementing various product solutions. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Product & Calculation, leading the product and calculation applications at E.ON Energie Deutschland. Their tasks include strategic planning, budget management, staffing, and stakeholder management.

Torben Runte has a strong educational background in IT management and business informatics. Torben obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in IT Management from FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management in the years 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik from Hochschule Weserbergland from 2011 to 2014. Torben also participated in a Semester Abroad at California State University-Fullerton in 2013, where they pursued General Studies. Additionally, Torben completed their Abitur/A-Levels from Gymnasium Neustadt am Rübenberge between 2004 and 2011, focusing on Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, English, and Politics. Furthermore, they have obtained certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) in October 2020 and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert in January 2021 from Microsoft.
